Various Treatment Options
Most, if not all, online orthodontic providers exclusively offer clear aligners as their treatment option. Clear aligners are great — in fact, we offer Invisalign and Spark Clear Aligners for patients. However, they are not the best for everybody! We proudly provide two other treatment choices.
Metal Braces
These are the tried and true treatment option for decades. Metal braces are durable, reliable, and able to treat even the most complex cases. Thanks to modern technology, the brackets and wires are now sleeker and more comfortable than ever. The metal braces we offer at Elm Tree Orthodontics are self-ligating, which means they don’t need the colorful ligatures (the elastics that hold the wire to the brackets), allowing patients a subtle look. The self-ligating style applies gentle, consistent pressure to the teeth and reduces the number of tightening appointments you’ll need during your care.
InBrace Hidden Braces
For patients who do not want the visible appearance of braces and who don’t qualify or want clear aligners, we also offer InBrace Hidden Braces.
These braces sit behind the teeth for ultimate discretion. Their Smartwire technology eliminates tightening appointments entirely because Dr. Desai preprograms the wires at the start of treatment. The unique shape and placement of the Smartwire allow patients to eat, drink, and perform all oral hygiene (yes, including flossing!) like normal.
Though you’ll still have check-up appointments to ensure everything is going smoothly, you’ll have less time in the office and more time doing what you love when you use InBrace Hidden Braces.
Care For The Whole Family
One orthodontic provider for everyone saves you time and money! Our different treatment options permit us to offer care for the whole family. Like most online companies, we offer treatment for teens and adults who can receive first-time orthodontic care or retreatment. It’s never too late to begin improving your smile!
Our 7 & Up Club promotes healthy oral habits while we monitor your child’s teeth and jaw development. Unlike most online companies, who usually only treat patients who have lost all their baby teeth, we even treat patients as young as seven. While it might sound young, this is the recommended age for most children to see an orthodontist for the first time.
Though your child will unlikely need care at that age, treating many alignment concerns is easier, quicker, and cheaper in the developing jaws of children. Potential issues Dr. Desai will look for in children are misalignment, tooth loss, spacing problems, tooth eruption, overbite, underbite, posterior bite, and anterior open or deep bites. Children who need care would likely participate in the Two-Phase Treatment for young patients who need preventative or interceptive treatment or guidance modification.
Preventative Treatment
Children with signs of a problem that is beginning to develop that can be stopped.
Interceptive Treatment
Children who already have an issue that we want to confront.
Guidance Modification
Children whose jaw alignment could use some assistance as they grow, like using a ruler to help draw a line. You could draw the line without a ruler, but it would have increased functionality and visual appeal if you had used one.
